My New Cat Ginger
Ginger came back last night, and she absolutely loves being petted. But her purring is unlike any other cat I’ve ever met. It sounds almost aggressive, as if she’s growling and enjoying it at the same time. Yet her face is so heart-melting that you can’t help but keep petting her. The moment I stop, even for a second, she bites me—like a tiny bully or a little queen. She wants things exactly her way, for exactly as long as she decides. I don’t mind being bullied by Ginger; I love her very much, and I want to spend more time with her. I’m trying to make her stay.

Last night, Lilu came back for food, but I was petting Ginger at that moment. He kept his distance. At a glance, he looked jealous. I tried to approach him, but he ran away as soon as I got close. Leeloo came earlier than Ginger for her meal. I tried to pet her too, but she ran off. I even tried using food to lure her closer, but she wouldn’t budge. Maybe that’s why I already love Ginger a little more, even though she has only been here for two nights.
Among all four cats, I still love Maomao the most. She was gentle, talkative, and always responded when I called her. She was also very pretty. I miss her deeply. Next would be Ginger. I think interaction matters a lot when bonding with an animal. Leeloo lets me get close but never allows me to pet her. Lilu doesn’t even let me get close at all. But he is very cute—his face looks a bit silly, yet he’s very smart. He always comes for food around 19:00, and after eating, he cleans himself carefully.
