Web Design

• Fireworks and Flash were something new to me. Fireworks is like a combination of Photoshop & Illustrator. I like it for web design. But I still prefer to use Photoshop for my daily work. Flash is a "fun" software. Since I don't like online/TV games it is not so useful to me. But I like the actionscript part, which really pushes my brain.

Acrobat 8

• A very useful tool. It is not just a piece of paper. I intend to dig deeper into A9 by 2010.

Photoshop & Illustrator

• Schools: Fevaworks / CITYU / New Horizon
• Time: uncountable
• My siblings barely taught me anything. But they liked to give me clues. When I first heard about Photoshop from my twin sister, I pretended that I knew about it. But I actually didn't know that was a software for graphics at that time. My friends Jo & Kelvin gave me the trial version software and I began to learn how to use it from books (these books were my nr.1 teacher). Then I went to different schools to learn more about both softwares.

Dreamweaver

• I don't even remember who was my first teacher. I have this "bible like" book in my office. And I have a very strong HTML knowledge base (Thank you Dave). Without this software, it would have taken me forever to build this site.

Office 2007

• Schools: Fevaworks / CITYU
• Time: 1 month
• Why do I almost never receive word/excel file attachments in the 2007 version? It is simply because the previous version is so much easier to use. And I still prefer to use the previous version than 2007, although I have learnt the new functions.

Window Vista

• School: Fevaworks
• Time: 12 hours
• XP is a very fine Windows operation. Why Vista? It is not a bad operation. But without taking a course, this version made things complicated. And I'm happy that I took this course. When I discover Fevaworks, I knew that I had connected with the perfect I.T. school that I always craved.

HTML

• I never have the opportunity to study at a university. I never regret the decision that I made. As I said earlier, my siblings barely taught me anything but gave me clues. My twin sister and her husband studied I.T. in City University/HK. Instead of teaching me, she would just say "Google HTML" and hang up the phone. Well, I did and I found Dave. He may not know me but I will always see him as my best teacher ever. It's never too late to learn. Dave's site is considered the best HTML/CSS tutorial site. Please do spare time out to click to his site and learn HTML for your life.

Languages

• Languages: English, Japanese, French, Mandarin, German, Italian
• English - Ms. Sun of Wesley College and watching TV programmes. Ms. Sun is the best English teacher. I still remember the classes were always started with "How are you today?" "What date is it today?" "How do you find the weather today?" It was something very simple but also very useful. Once you started to chat with people with these questions, you have all kind of subjects to talk about. When I was small, I always wished I could have a chat with Macguvyer. Though this dream hasn't come true yet, I still love to watch TV and learn.
• Japanese - Nihongo Cultural Center. It's been too long for me to remember any useful sentence. But I still remember all the characters. I don't think it would be difficult for me to pick it up again. I would just need to make spare time out for it.
• French - Alliance Francaise & Geneva. I spent 3 months in Geneva. Before that I studied at Alliance Francaise for 3 years. Those 3 months worked much better than the 3 years. Do I speak fluent French now? Nope, but my French is much better than my Mandarin.
• Mandarin - At someone's home. My teacher was from Beijing. A very nice lady. I do feel shame that I do not speak good Mandarin. Like English, I have daily access to Mandarin. I could learn it from songs, news, even from my neighbour. I really have no excuse for not speaking it well.
• German - Goethe Institute. Just 2 words "too difficult" and I really don't like the sound.
• Italian - I don't even remember the name of the school. I just remember that Jacky Chan's former manager, Willy Chan, was my classmate.
